Asian Wedding Inspirations

We love it when a couple personalizes their wedding with a fun theme, and nods to Asian cultures can be so beautiful, especially if you’re paying tribute to family!  From food to decor, there are thousands of years of history to pull from and multiple continents to inspire.

Red wedding dresses are a common in Asian weddings, and we are crazy about this Marchesa Fall 2012 showstopper.  Adding Jade jewelry as a pop of color and meaning (it is commonly used to attract love – what could be better?) is an enduring accent.  A cherry blossom ring pillow for your ring bearer is another sweet addition to the ceremony.

Chinese Lanterns are a vibrant and literal nod to an Asian theme and add a splash of sculptural interest, and spacing lotus candles on tables are a romantic and elegant addition.

For food, you could go for the ever popular sushi appetizer spread, or you could be a bit adventurous and try some  Asian appetizers that may be just a little out of the ordinary for the average palette.  Presentation is such a large part of Asian cuisine which is perfect for a celebratory wedding, and a fun treat for guests- and what could be a bigger showstopper than the cake?

As a special takeaway for guests, a Zen Garden is a reminder of the day- and might we add a spectacular stress reliever!

I know, I apologies to all- craving sushi for lunch?
